Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

This is most likely due to a bad solenoid pack in transmission. You could have tranny serviced and see if it helps. Poor fluid condition makes valves stick in those.

Good Luck with this. My 2005 Vibe light came on Jan 9/10. Checked manual, says emissions problem. But within a week car starts to slam into reverse and second gear. Took car to repair shop to check, code was undecisive. We had plugs changed (car has 112,000 kms). Light still on, then went out for a few days then back on again. This time when checked code was a transmission error. Took car to transmission repair shop, again code not definative. They decide to drop the pan, replace trans fluid and replace a solenoid. Light still on. Light goes off for about 45 kms, shifting smooth, then bang starts all over again. Back to transmission shop, check light again, mechanic makes some calls to a friend in Quebec who has a transmission shop. This guy says that it is a computer problem and that there is a recall for it that just came out. Car goes to dealership tomorrow hopefully they know about the recall. So far this has cost me $700.00.
