New fuel pump and filter still turns over but wont start

Your motor needs three things fuel air and Spark so if you know you're getting fuel then it's usually air or spark I've had the same problem before and it was the rotor was broken inside of the distributor cap so it was getting plenty of air and fuel but no spark one way to check your problem would be to spray starter fluid in the throttle body or carburetor and if it doesn't start then your problem is not fuel it's most likely something with your ignition like your distributor cab or rotor could also be ascensor like your mass airflow sensor one way to check that is to run your computer for codes for free at most auto parts stores and since your car doesn't drive I'm sure you can rent one from somewhere and run codes personally I think it's something with your ignition most likely rotor cheap fix

2006 cobalt.replaed starter relay fuse all lights come on dash ect. fuel going to fuel pump but wont crank over

Are you positive the battery is good? Did you try to jump it ? Make sure all cables are clean and tight. When you say "won't crank over" do you mean the engine doesn't turn at all? If not, I don't know why you think the fuel pump would be the culprit. If it cranks and doesn't start, I don't know why you replaced the starter.

Disconnecting the battery doesn't reset the light. You need a scan tool for that unless you get lucky and fix the problem and go through enough cycles for it to go out on it's own.

Take it to Autozone or Advance or somewhere and have them read the codes. They do it for free for you. (They are hoping you will buy parts there) They can reset the light as well.

The engine crank but it wont start, when we are traveling the vehicle lose its power. we check the fuel pump and it dose not work, still wont start

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. I am assuming the fuel pump works. If it doesn't, check the pump, fuses, and relay. Check your fuel pump button if you have one. This vehicle is new so you may have an electrical issue. Is the check engine light on? If so, you need to have the computer scanned. Many things can cause the engine to not start. If could be fuel related. Check your fuel pressure to make sure it is normal. If it is not, check your fuel filter, lines, and injectors. It may be the ignition system, such as plugs/coils, wires, distributor, coil packs, distributor cap. You need fuel, fire, and air to start the car. I don't know how many miles you have, but if it is up there, you need to check the plugs, coils, ect. I need to know miles, if your check engine light is on. It could be the starter, starter solenoid, or ignition module. Post back so I can help you. Thanks.

My 2000 chevy tracker wont start.starter is cranking but motor wont fire.lately when fuel is low it starts making a horribe clanking noise.like its choking.a local mechanic said its probaly fuel...

The fuel tank needs a certain amount of pressure to operate the fuel pump. Make sure the gas cap is tight, believe it or not if the fuel cap is loose or faulty the check engine light will come on. It could also be the fuel filter or also the fuel pump.

Start with fuel system. Listen for fuel pump humm at fuel tank No humm check wiring to pump for power. Then check for spark at plugs and wires. Remove wire from coil and hold near engine and see arch when you crank. No arch. Replace ignition Modular inside distributor cap or cap or rotor

MY car wont turm over. it is not the babtery. is

Check the leads to the alternator and see if they are loose or unconnected. The starter malfunctioning would not make the engine die, just not turn over. Slugish turning would indicate a low batery but not malfunctioning starter. If the engine will run but not for long check the fuel pump or air leaks in the fuel system. Check all leads to the distributor, coil and sparkplugs, If the distributor cap is cracked or the distributor is loose it will create these problems.
