Three places to look. All of them are in the passenger compartment fuse panel (see picture of location below). All of these are in this fuse panel (see second picture below of layout). Check position number 31. It's a 15 amp fuse and is for the starter relay. second place is in the number 113 location. this should be a cartridge fuse and I believe it's a 30 amp nut don't quote me on that. The last place is the number 307 position and that is the starter relay itself. I hope this gets you going and good luck.

Check the positive cable connection at the glow plug control module, often is a common spot where the wire breaks

I have a 87 f150 4x4 wont start with the key has new starter, solonoid switch and new ignition switch but it starts fine when I jump the solonoid

If you are saying that the vehicle will turn over only when jump started and nothing when not connected to another vehicle then I would check the earth connection from battery!

Why wont car start with jump?

This may be related to the antitheft system The system is known for turning off the starter and/or injectors when it fails. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY or a picture of a car with a lock through it? This is a common problem worth looking into.

It wouldnt turn on and when i opened the hood the battery was tipped over.. so i replaced the battery and it started. then i went to the gas station turned it off and it would start again. someone turned...

They jumped your starter making a connection on the starter solenoid. remove the starter, and go to the auto parts store, and have it tested. I would believe your starter is having problems. banging on the starter mean the armature is sticking and your starter wont spin. Have them check it out, I am most certain you need a new one. hope this helps. let me know

Car wont start and battery is good can turn over if i jump the solonid at starter but wont keep running

Sounds like the ignition switch not sending power to the starter OR power to the IGN "on" circuit. But before you jump into that check the MAIN fuses in the fuse box under the hood. Also check any fusible links that may have burned...these are a wire that is designed to "burn" like a fuse. They are attached to the positive side of the starter solinoid, also when you check that don't forget to make sure the nut retaining the positive BAT wire is tight on the solenoid.

Truck wont turn over but the lights and radio still work is it the starter

If you have tried a boost.......even though the lights and radio work and hear a click when turning to may need a starter.
It would be best to check for voltage to the starter and from the smaller wire at the starter solenoid when turning the key to start position before replacing the starter.
With the truck in park or neutral....jump the starter solenoid from under the truck......with no cranking from the starter under these conditions....yes...... you may need a starter.

If you do not get a voltage reading at the smaller wire at the solenoid when the key is in start mode....check the wiring, starter relay, the safety neutral switch and the ignition switch.
If you have anti theft.........this may cause a no start too.

2000 Pontiac Sunfire wont start

Its likely that you have either a bad ignition switch or a bad neutral safety switch (if stickshift, clutch switch) Try starting in neutral...if it starts, change neutral switch (jump across clutch switch, check starting in neutral with your foot on the brake) Ignition switch is on top of steering column under dash.

Truck wont turn over

Check for power to and from ignition switch, there is also a fused link that can protect the wiring, or keep it from working.Jump starting can make this happen if the proper connections are not made.look at the starter is wiring ok?Make sure you move the shifter out of park and then back,to be sure it is all the way in park,as any miss alignment will not let starter engage.Good luck!
