Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

L have santa fe 2004, l hear some noise in the Transmission when the gear put it in the drive and reverse. would you please to advise me what the problem exactly. Thanks

The problem exactly is that you are hearing a noise. I cannot tell you what is causing the noise without hearing the noise. It can be very difficult to find the cause of a noise when you have the car right in front of you. It is absolutely impossible to do over the internet. My recommendation would be to take it to a repair shop and see if you can get one of the mechanics to come out and listen to the noise and give you an idea of what may be causing it.

You do have drive and reverse,if you have park and neutral.It just the transmission cant transfer that power a new or rebuilt is the solution

2004 hyundai sant fe clutch makes grinding/whining noise when trying to shift gears. Just replaced the clutch 2 years ago. 107,000 miles


Does clutch grind or does it grind as you put into gear? If as you put into gear then , Transmission needs new sycros.

Check engine problem


plug it into a scan tools .it could be a camshaft sensor or crank sensor ,,scan tool can deside this

Transmission will not shift all of a sudden On my 2004 Santa Fe


Time to go to a transmission shop. You could try a complete tranny flush at sears first and have the filter changed.
