There is a clp that holds the handle on. I have always used a long flat screwdriver to get these off, but there is a tool that you can buy to do the job. You will have to push the panel back to see the clip,( looks like a silver wire) It is open on one side, this is the end you have to push out. If you don't get the special tool then you will have to work it back and forth untill the clip pops off. try not to loose the clip, because not all new handles come with it. It's not really that hard once you see how it comes out. Thats why I never bought the tool. Just a note . there is usually a plastic grommet that is in there also, put the screwdriver/ tool in between that and the handle to protect the panel.

Are you talking about the old style window crank? If you are, then they are usually held on by a c-clip located behind the handle. There is a special tool that is available at most part stores. The tool slides under the handle and pushes the clip off. Once the clip is removed, then the handle should come right off. It also works for old style door handles.

You checked fuses and relays for electrical cranked window?
Remove: internal door handle, remove window crank if manual crank, door panel, remove film/paper seal.
If is mechanical crank: check for worn out parts on gearing and racks (reinstall crank and wind window up and down). Replace worn parts.

If electrical window crank: check for power at solenoid. Try switch again and watch to see if solenoid engages and tries to crank.
Check to see if switch is broken. Try door switch and drivers door switch.
Pickup another solenoid and replace old one.

There seems to be parts missing on driver side window. It falls off track when ever I try to roll it down. Front goes down and back lags to follow. Have guide clips. Nothing I've tried seems to make...

Possibly, could just be out of the front track. Could also have broken or loose parts. Almost better to have a pro do it if your not familiar< you can really mess up the door panel if not knowledgeable with removal, and that can cost you more than a pro repair. If you elect to do it yourself, get back to me with questions, and I'll try to walk you through. Good luck.

97 venture van. Manual front door window cranks up crooked.I have to pull it up straight by hand while cranking! is there a repair? I have the panel off already. Thanks a bunch:)

Your window track could be loose or misaligned. You have the panel off already so that's good, crank the window up and down and look at the window going up and down the side tracks and look for any broken, loose or misaligned window track. If the track's are broken or worn, replace them and realign the tracks if needed. Good luck and hope this helps.

Rear window crank

Look for a replacement at a local parts store to see if they have something cheap that will work. If not, try a pick and pull wrecking yard. If you don't mind paying more than it's worth, go to the dealer and order it.
