The only sure fire way to get a diesel engine to stop running is to starve it of air, not fuel. Take a very large rag or towel and stick it into the air intake tube (where your air filter goes.) Don't starve your engine of the fuel. The diesel fuel acts as a lubricant for the pump and you could do some very expensive damage by pinching the fuel lines. Cut off the air supply and if you use a towel or rag, be sure to hold onto it so it does'nt get sucked into the engine

I'm looking at a picture which I don't have any way to send to you so I'll describe as best I can. Standing in front of the truck, the injector pump is just to the right of a rad hose. I can se what appears to be throttle cable and linkage on the left side of the pump and a fuel line going into the center of the pump. On the immeciate right side of that fuel line are 2 electrical fittings mounted front to back. The front one, which seems to have 2 wires in this photo, is the fuel shut-off solenoid. There is nothing to tell me what the back one is and there is nothing to tell me what the electrical plug-in on the front of the pump to the left of the fuel line is either.
Failing this simply pinch of the fuel return line. This will stop the engine. Hope this helps.

Electricity is not reaching fuel pump. Wiring is fine. 1990 F350 4.9 Emgine Automatic transmission

the power relay activates the PCM, engine computer. The PCM activates the fuel pump relay that turns on the fuel pump with key ON. It runs for 5 seconds, then it shuts off, unless the engine starts. Can you hear the pump run (hum) in th fuel tank when key is turned ON?

Also, reset the inertia switch in case it tripped. Owner's manual will tell you where it is. Rest is pressing the buton.

Vehicle will not shut off with key.daytime lights and dash lights shut off but not the motor

is it a diesel?

If so (and i think it is from the fault) then its a sticking fuel solenoid, this cuts the fuel supply when the engine is switched off as diesels need no electricity to run so its a strangler type device to choke the engine by stopping the fuel, they can stick in the on position and the engine will not stop with the key.
