Question about 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette
You can install an after market with no problems. I recommend that you get the pig tail that will fit the radio and the vehicles original harness, instead of cutting wires. The reason being is that newer cars come with a theftlock radio. There are wires that go to the bcm and ecm. You really dont want to cut into the wrong wire. A 12 volt feed to some wires can short out the bcm or ecm or security modules ( several hundred dollars plus reprogram). A $20.00 harness is well worth it.
