I have a 9-3 2005 year 1.9Tid (150bhp) and I went through about 6 bulbs in 2 years! had many faults on this car, and WILL never buy one again. I have got a "Day running Bulb" fitted and touch wood, so far so good.

A short in the bulb panel, check for another loose bulb in the panel, and tighten all. That should sort it

cant put your fingers on the glass of the headlight bulbs when fitting
they will blow straight away

could be a faulty earth wire

for a large headlight fuse to blow will be a wire shorting to the an earth or chassis somehwere

2004 kia rio high and low beams not working. Fuse keeps blowing. Can't isolate a problem.

have you examined all of your headlight bulb sockets for any heat/fire damage? even if not, pull the bulbs, and use an appropriate headlight socket insulating grease to reduce temps and avoid corrosion.

when headlight bulbs are changed, it is suggested to use a socket grease insulator to seal them from humidity/corrosion AND to lower socket temps. without this grease, the headlight sockets could possibly catch fire and/or melt, and, if the exposed wiring then shorts, it would blow a fuse.

Why my isuzu d max headlight keeps blowing

check for loose bulbs and dirty earth points. Bulbs blow because of power surges normally from bad connections and loose bulbs.

Headlight keeps blowing

hi,

use the process of elimination, disconnect both headlights at the bulb and put another fuse in it and see if it blows. if the fuse blows without the headlights plugged in then its the wiring to the bulbs. if the fuse doesn't blow while the headlights aren't plugged in try plugging the lights in one at a time to see which headlight or socket is shorted. possibly corrosion at body to ground connections near the headlights, you may not see the corrosion, remove the ground wires and sand those ground wires down..

My wifes 92 883 keeps blowing headlights. First the low beam then the hi-beam. Is it the headlight relay shooting too many amps to the light?

Check the headlight lens for moisture in them, that blows bulbs. Do you touch the bulbs with your fingers when installing them? Don't do that, that blows bulbs. And no to many amps is not possible, but to many volts,is poss, have the charging system tested by a local Autozone or O'reilly auto parts, its is free, it could be to much voltage due to a alternator issue or wiring problems. Please rate my help for fixya..

My headlights (low beam) and my brake lights keep blowing

If you are using halogen bulbs convert to standard incandescent bulbs. As halogen may be brighter, they are susceptible to blowing if they are jarred while they are hot, or if you install them and get fingerprints on them. Fingerprints on halogen bulbs leave a small amount of oil which causes heat irregularities on the surface of the glass and causes them to blow.

LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS DON'T WORK FUSES ARE GOOD AND LIGHTS KEEP BLOWING OUT --HIGH BEAM LIGHTS,FOG LIGHTS,AND CRIUSE CONTROL ALL WORK FINE.HOW DO I FIX THIS PROBLEM.

If you are handling the bulbs with your bare hands that is why your bulbs keep blowing out. use a washcloth to put the bulb in or rubber gloves, anything that will keep your hands from touching the bulb.
