Check the belts condition and proper tension. Then check pulleys.

I just had my timing belt and water pump changed now the belt sounds like it's squealing grinding every time I start up engine but when I start driving it stops should I worry about this?

The timing belt is inside the engine, so has no relevance. The water pump being changed has no relevance.

The serpentine belt which drives the alternator and AC is slipping and that causes the screeching. As soon as the belt warms up a bit because of the friction, it starts to grip and the screeching stops. You can do one of two things, get the garage to tighten the belt, or buy some 'serpentine belt re-conditioner' which cleans the belt and is a bit sticky, so it helps it to grip. You can get it from automotive spares shops. You just spray it onto the inner service of the belt at one of the V-Pulleys with the engine running.

Wining sound when starting but when engine warms up it stops

This has so many variables...is the serpentine belt the original? It can be hardened with age, quiets when warmed up...could be tensioner pulley, this noise could come and go however...also is your weather very cold? If equipped with an automatic transmission, the age can exhibit unique cold sounds...if tranny never serviced, add a bottle of Lucas Oil Transmission Stabilizer to tranny fluid...read instructions, you do not have to drain anything...This is highly recommended for cleaning tranny. Hope this helps.

Nissan primera 1999 makes a noise when idling. when its warmed up the noise stops

could be a worn belt , or alternator pulley, waterpump pulley, dirt road grime, etc., check your BELTS to make sure they are ok, not chewed up, worn, loose , replace if necessary, keep an eye on it. don't worry about it,

Your thermostat may be stuck in the open position. The original thermostat is a 195 degree. Your engine should be warm enough to blow heat in 5 minutes of idling or driving.

At startup, amp gage low, lights flicker. belt squealing. then after warm up, gage normal no squeal. alternator bad? Use to do when blower motor on now all start ups.

Thats what it sounds like. That would cause all your problems. You could start the jeep and then take your hot side battery terminal off. If it dies asap, your alternator is bad. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

2000 Mitsubishi Galant 4 cyl ES underhood squeal on right side

Be gentle with my rating. I am a long ways away. It sounds like a fan belt. You should pop the hood next time and see how it sounds when you have the squeeling going on. Fan belts will squeel until the get warmed up and then stop because the heat makes them grab the way they are ment too. Let me know, Raz

How much warm up time does a dodge sprinter 2500 diesiel require in the winter time?

At idle it can take hours to fully warm up

If your concerned about driving it right away after starting, not a big issue.....start, let it warm a min or two then drive.

Diesels warm slower than gas engines, and they take longer to get warm enough to give you heat untill fully warmed up.

Normally you should see good temp and good heat after driving about 15 minutes after the first cold start of the day.
