Check the IAC, (idle air control) remove the air intake to the engine, spray brake cleaner in the intake, pay attention to the square/round hole inside the inlet, spray it with cleaner, the car will be a bit hard to start at first. let me know if it works.

Black smoke when i put my foot down

On a newer vehicle with fuel injection, black exhaust smoke can be caused by one or more leaky fuel injectors, too much fuel pressure (sticking fuel pressure regulator), a faulty MAF sensor or Oxygen sensor, or a engine computer fault. with diesel engines, black smoke in the exhaust can occur during hard acceleration.

The first things you should check are your air-filter and other intake components like sensors, fuel injectors and the fuel-pressure regulator. Other reasons could be a clogged fuel return line.

Why is my atego 1823 having a hard start in the morning and when it starts it produces a black smoke

Black smoke, real black, is unburnt fuel in the exhaust. If it clears up in a very short time, it may be only due to the extended cranking you have to go through to get it started. If fuel consumption is not awful, it is possible that the hard starting is not a fuel problem. If this is fuel injection, too much gas could be leaking injectors, but as above, if it clears up right away, the smoke was from extended cranking forcing all that gas into the cylinders. You probably should check fuel pressure, always do that for hard starting.

Check your ignition system, use a calibrated spark tester. Need new spark plugs and/or plug wires?

What is responsible for black smoke on plugs in sienna?and why does my car shoot?

Black smoke could be oil burning or unburned gas going out the exhaust. Blackened plugs and running very rough could be too much gas in the cylinders. Check fuel pressure, check fuel pressure regulator-look for evidence of gas in the vacuum line to the regulator- a sign the regulator is bad allowing excess gas into the engine. If fuel pressure is correct, check for leaking injectors, also check ignition system. Do you have a strong blue spark?

2- take the vacuum line to fuel pressure regulator .if it is wet with gas,the diaphragm is ruptured need new regulator
3- have exhaust shop check you cat convertor, also if you recently have head gasket problem, some of those anti freeze is burned by engine and ran through your cat convertor causes it partially plugged,
4- A bad throttle position sensor could be another cadidate
5- bad or old ignition coil could be also the reason,as it could not produce enough juice on higher R.P.M

My 1990 ford f150 is smoking black exhaust what could be causing this?

Hello Warebaby.
Black exhaust indicates unburned fuel.
This can be caused by many things.
Bad ignition-spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, coil, ignition timing.
Excess fuel going in- bad injector, fuel pressure regulator.
Electronics-map sensor, throttle position sensor, oxygen sensor being most common.
Could be a good time to tune it up first
