Question about 1998 Mazda B-Series

Open Question

I have a 1998 Mazda B-2500. I have an issue of the turn siganls not working, the A/C compressor not kicking on, speedometer not working and the "dinger" that alerts you of opened door, headlights, etc. continuously dings even while vehicle is in motion. My A/C compressor is good and I have changed the A/C relay switch out. I have changed the speedometer sensor. Nothing has worked. I have been told it sounds as if I have a grounding issue. Has anyone else encountered this problem before?

SOURCE: Mazda 1999 2500 pick up- courtesy light problem

Shoot a bunch of WD40 into the keyway (both doors), let soak, come back in five minues. Put your doom light bulbs back in and test. In case that doesn't work, take your doom light bulbs out forever. The light activator is deep inside the door (some magent thing is as close as I ever came to an answer?), good luck w/ finding it. I took the entire door panel off to replace a driver's side mirror and couldn't find it with two hands, a flashlight and a Chilton's manuel.

How do I get my check engine light off? I changed both parts on both codes from three different AutoZones. The EGR valve and EGR value sensor and a new hose from the manifold to the catalytic converter. Only thing I can think is to look for a vacuum leak, change the oil, rotate the tires, get new struts and shocks, a front end alignment, get my heat shield welded back into place, get a full tune up, change the transmission fluid, and two new oxygen sensors and these should hold her for quite a while. Rear brakes don't seem to be grabbing correctly, it feels uneven. Anti-lock brakes don't come on. I also replaced the speedsensor this time last year. And need a new windshield. How much will all this cost?

98 Mazda b 2500 replaced alternator, battery still drains down and now heavy white smoke pours from exhaust

The battrey and smoke issues may be unrelated. Or it may be that the diesel is not igniting properly because power supply is weak/reduced. (I am assuming it is diesel)
If the battery drain problem is the cause of it you need to visit an

Both turn signals on my 1998 Ford Escort zx2 don't flash.

The 98 Escort is actually a Mazda 323 with Ford trim. It uses a solid state flasher relay for both turn signals and hazard lights.
The relay is behind the speedometer. My guess is the relay has died.
You can look it up online or check with your local auto parts store to get a visual.

1998 dodge ram 2500, speedometer does not work

Have the system scanned for fault codes, I think you may have a defective VSS (vehicle speed sensor), but don't replace it before you have the fault code test run, a defective computer and or wiring to the VSS can also cause the same problems.

What would make the brake lights and turn signal lights go out at the same time? its on a 1998 escort zx2.

The turn siganl switch because the brake lights go through there. Otherwise, turn signals would not work with brakes on. 4 way flashers should work though

Ac compressor won't kick on

Just had the same issue and posted. Just found the solution is the control module in the dash. Went to the junk yard since new is expensive on these units. Plugged new unit in, was able to charge a/c now blows cold as ice.
