How do you change the daytime running lights on a 2008 Chevy Tahoe LTZ? Is there a way to take the whole lighting fixture out or no?

Daytime running lights work through a relay module that change the power to the high beam lights which act as the day time running lights.why would you want to remove this system if you could as it doesn`t affect anything other than this system.plus if your in Canada you can get a ticket for them not working as this is a safety related system.

Daytime running lights dont work on 1996 Tahoe


Check all the fuses. Could be a bad relay for the head lights.

How do i change a headlight


there is two l shaped bars that you turn and pull straight up then pull the headlight assembly out the front. after that you can snap the parking light assembly out and change the daytime running lights if they are burned out.

first you have to lift the hood then remove the headlight pins and then stick you're hand down on the left side push the clip in and gently pull the housing out then push the white clip andturn the housing counter clock wise and pull out

you have to pull the headlights out,by pulling out the bars on top of them.remove the headlight then each daytime lamp will have a clip at each end.when you unclip them you will see the bulbs.

No you cannot. you could add a switch, to them but thats going to require some soldering and cutting of wires, or you could jerry-rigged the fuse, with a switch. but really you cannot shut off the running lights. before startup.
