Question about 2001 Pontiac Bonneville
You start by cleaning the hot wire(located in the center of the sensor that the air passes) in the maf sensor as when these get a little dirt on them it can throw the reading out for the computer.spray the wire with carb/throttle cleaner and blow dry or let it sit to dry.then you can check the 02 sensor with a volt meter to see if it is working within the designed parameters when in closed loop.this code generally indicates a problem with the oxygen sensor(02).the readings should fluctuate above and below .456 volts and not stay on one side or the other as long as the car is not running rich or lean.
