I could be wrong but these filter box covers are held in place with 4 Phillips screws that need to be loosened to remove the filter cover to gain access to the filter.sometimes the threaded portion the screws go into turn with the screw and you have to get inventive to remove them.its also easier to remove the air snorkel when taking the cover off.

Have a opel astra H 1.8 sport 2004 model which is jerking and it starts emmediately from when you start the car and continues while driving the car, continues to jerk as if it is being starved of fuel

you may need to change your fuel filter. its easily accessible under the hood. it is usually wrapped in a medal protective cover. but its easy to pop off.

My opel 1.7 dti jerks when driving

diesel engine surging could have partially clogged fuel fiter, fuel injectors could be worn or dirty, fuel pump could be failing, i would replace fuel filter first have fuel injectors checked out, if you see check engine light flashing have vechicle code scan first before buying new parts.also replace air filter, diesel engine needs good volume air to work efficiently.

Car jerks when slowing down or stopped, CEL on

You said it all. When a car jerks it means it is not firing as expected which could be due to fuel pressure not adequate, air intake not enough or too much, sparks not been produce at the right time or engine management problems (sensors etc). from what you said i would start with locating the source of the oil consumption. If there is visible oil around the engine, this might not be cause of the jerking. If the oil leaks is not visible it could be due to cylinder\piston wear. Dirty air filter, spark plugs, plugged fuel filter and bad spark plug cable could also cause jerking so you might want to consider giving your car a tune up also

Car Jerks

Sounds like you have either a fuel or air blockage some where in your system, make sure you have fuel in your tank and that your air filter isn't blocked.
