May be there no power runnig you can check the coil if no power coming out fron there and the car crank but no start that its possible, sometimes that goes bad when the is in not use it get moisture and dont work anymore, that could be 1 of the reazon.

First place I would look is the boot light . Is the switch properly adjusted to switch off the light when the boot is closed.. Remove the eart lead and put an ampmeter in the line and read the current draw . It will give some idea as to what may be still on

Whats pulling the battery down and causing my 2002 blazer not to turn over

Is the battery new? Does it start fine until it sits overnight? Have you checked the alternator? Does the battery have sufficient cold cranking amps, dead cell? Is an interior light staying on, glove box light? Do you have an aftermarket stereo with an amp?

Took battery out when put back in engine turns over wont start theft light keeps blinking 2001 ford mustang gt

Undo the battery for 10 minutes, plug it back up, let the car sit for 20 minutes WITHOUT trying to start it, then try to start it. it should work.

Car has been sitting 5 months without being started

the battery may be shorted out. do you have a meter to check a batteries condition? if not take the battery into the parts store and they can tell you if it has a dead short in it which means the plates inside the battery have sulphated together and wont allow current to pass through them. lead acid batteries are real bad about this if they go completly dead even if they are newer batteries.

1966 Mustang won't start after sitting for 3 years - new battery

If engine wont turn over it wont do you any good to mess with the fuel filter or the carb. You didnt say if the car is an automatic or striaght stick if it is a automatic check the nutral switch on the transmission. car wont normally start if trasmission isnt in nutral or park. May want check the starter it may be drawing to much voltage
