Hi toolman18620... thanks for your reply....

However, i am just alittle confuse here on manual gear.... currently i am able to change my gear without clutch in when engine is off... When i check with my friend whom is driving subaru TS, they are not able too....

If you can advise me on this?

    Appreciate with thanks!

on a manual transmission with the engine off you can shift it into gear without using the clutch sometimes you may have to rock the car because the gears aren,t quite lined up in tranny, but it will go into all of the gears.
the gearshift lock when it is unlocked doesn,t affect that
hope this answer you were looking for !! SORRY !! misunderstood you. call a kia dealer to be sure. have a good one !!
