Try replacing the solinoide, and make sure ALL connections are clean and making good contact. Also you should have the strater amperage draw and the charging system tested.

1990seville wont start battery good will not turn over

Suggest you try a jump start of your car. If it starts, then it is either the battery or the alternator. If it doesn't then, you can take off the serpentine belt and try to rotate the engine with a large wrench (CW). If it rotates, then it will be your starter or starter solenoid or the starter relay.

When i go to start the car it does not turn the engine over the only thing it does are the lights and every thing come on an sum clickin noice but thats it dont hear the engine tryn to start at all

try to use some jump leads first if this works then you need to replace the battery,if not it is the starter solenoid of motor that has gone.turn of all electrical items before trying to start may help,as the drain will also show up a bad battery.

Will not start. Battery seems to be ok, can smell fuel but engine will no turnover.

Chech starter solenoid, some ford models have a separate starter relay solenoid that fails. jump the two post to see iff the starter engages. make sure it is in nuetral.

On manual tranny chech clutch switch

My car wont start its not the starter or alternator. when im set to acc my battery and engine check light is on. this is the first ive ever seen it on my car. i pushed on the gas pedal while stating it to...

Does it crank over? If so, then look into the fuel pump by checking for 12V at the connection when the key is on. If not, possibly the solenoid. You can try jumping the posts of the solenoid with a screwdriver when some is trying to start the car. If it starts, replace the solenoid. Good luck, hope this helps.

your starter, solenoid or ignition is no good. but my first choice,i think your solenoid is shorted because when you hook up the battery,it cranks but does not start.that means your ignition switch is still working.

4x4 1990 f150 will not start

Does the truck turn over but won’t start? If so there is a fusible link running from the starter solenoid behind the battery.
Also if you get nothing when you turn the key could be the solenoid. Its easy enough to jump the solenoid and check . Check all the fusible links coming off the power side of the solenoid and replace as needed.
