When the battery is removed the radio is reset as the power is cut off to the memory. This is a safety for theft and so the dealer always issues the code to the buyer. check your owners book or warranty book, if not call the dealership as the data base will contain the code.

I own a 2006 holden viva equip station wagon .I am trying to program stereo to reboot after losing battery power .Apparently I need a computer code number ???Can you help?

Hi Mark there isn't a lot any one can do. The only option you really have are; check through all the paper work you have on the car all cards and hand book, all repair sheets if Holden invoices sometimes radio codes are written in. Purchase invoice if bought from a dealer sometimes have the code recorded. If no luck there possibly on the back of the radio (radio removed). Again if not there write down or take a photo of all information on all labels on the radio including bar codes. Now the two options left go to the dealer with the infomation you have written down pay a fee and they will get the radio code or fit a new radio purchased elsewhere. A third option just thought of is a radio fitting specialist but to be honest i have not come accross one that can reprogram a radio code.Good luck

How to find the radio code for 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor radio has no sound after replacing dead battery

Depending on the make you can go online, search the make/model/serial number on specialist website that will sell you the code for a couple of bucks. As you didn't provide this in your question I couldn't test run it for you. Serial number may be in the drivers book or remove radio and it will be on the back. Has nobody written it in the owners books anywhere? Next time hook up a small motorcycle battery to your main batt leads before you remove the main batt and this will keep the codes in place while you swap the main batt.

Land rover radio code free

read to hand book and see it the code has been written in there for you other wise contact your dealer and supply the vin number of the car and see if they have a record of the code for you . This will only work if the radio is stock fit and not after market.

Unhooked the battery on 2004 Honda civic vx , now radio dosent work. Need the radio code to reset.

Hi, check the service log book, the previous owner may have written the code there. The only other way to get the code is to take your car to the local Honda dealer. Hope this helps.

I changed my car battery and the car audio system locked up.I can't remember the code.My car is 1995 Toyota Avalon. On the front panel is the number AD6800 and in the manual is written 10650001 AM-FM ETR...

hi, this is a very common problem that people have when they have had work done on their vehicles and had the battery disconnected, the problem is their only one way of solving your problem that is by going to the main dealers their is no other way of doing this as they do this so as people dont steal the radios and then unlock them themselves.

You need to take the car with you as they wont give you the code over the phone in case you have stolen the stereo so taking the car to the main dealers is the only way your going to get this code and get your audio system working again.

Their is no here else you can get the codes from so sorry i cant give you any easy solution to this problem the only way is to take your car to the main dealers you might even need the log book or owners book with you.

Once they give you this code its best you write it down in case you need it in the future or when you come to sell the car at least you can pass this info onto the new owner.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Code for radio hyundai accent 2005

usually on a credit size card in the log book or written down in there somewhere, its a 4 digit code but dont keep trying as the more incorrect codes you enter the radio lock for longer each time until its minutes, hours, weeks.
If you cant find it you have to pay the dealer to re-set it, not cheap, better getting a replacement radio & a dash converter to fit!

Unlock radio code

To unlock the radio you will need to inform your local B.M.W. Agent/Dealer of the Registration details i.e. V.I.N./Chassis number ownership Log Book/Title they will be able to supply you with the necessary code for your radio to work. Have you looked through the booklets/service history if available in the Glove box maybe written down there?
Good Luck!
