I have a new battery. The car won't start but everything in it turns on by itself - the radio comes on, switches from FM to AM, the CD player starts shuffling, etc. but it just clicks.

What is year--make--model?
Did this start with battery change? If so, some makes and models, if battery voltage is lost, there may be some modules that have to relearn or be reprogrammed? I doubt I can help you with that? You may also need to check your security system, where applicable.
Does the starter motor crank the engine, when you try to start it? If not, check the starter circuit for voltage and ground. Any testing at the starter, make sure tranny is in park or neutral and the parking brake is set.

I have a pumping sound coming from dash of my 2006 pilot. Almost sounds like a cd player shuffling... ideas?

do you have cd in the player-take them all out and see if noise continues-you could also find the fuse for the radio and pull it to see if that stops the noise- cheers Denny

1986 Thunderbird, cd player keeps cutting off. Is this power problem?

No that sounds like the player is just old and most likely needs the tiny drive belts replaced.

Why does my battery keep draining without me leaving something on?

Well, when the engine is not running, everything that uses power runs off the battery And when it is running, everything runs off the alternator output, and the battery is only being re-charged.
Yes, it does sound possessed. I can only think of two possibilities: A dead or weak cell in the battery may run it low quickly, and the low voltages may be causing strange issues with your accessories. So, have the battery tested for free at a parts store. The other possibility is that a playful spirit has invaded your BCM (body control module) and wreaking havoc. The BCM (if you have one) does control lighting and interior accessories, so you may want to have it checked by the dealer or a reputable, knowledgeable shop. I'm pretty sure the BCM communicates with the car's computer, so there may be associated trouble codes that would help you solve it and weed out the gremlins. Good luck.

CD PLAYER SHUFFLING WHEN SHUT OFF AND WILL NOT PLAY SAYS BAD DISK

Unfortuentaly this is a common problem, the only real option is go aftermarket have one installed, go to dealer let them order you a new one, or take to a local radio shop let them repair it.

CD player continuously trys to eject and drains

Hi,
You need to take your car to an auto electrician to fix the issue. It is most likely due to an i/c glitch in the CD system. If it is damaged, you might need to replace it.

Kind Regards,

MY 2004 Passat CD player ate my CD. Iused it as always and it just diasppeared and the onitor says "No CD". The dealer says this happens frequently and wants $400 to replace the whole unit!! Thisis c

I am not sure if you will be able to get to it or not, but there is a tiny pinhole somewhere on your player. It may be on the front panel or even on top or the side, insert a long corsage needle, (the kind that have a pearl on top), so that you don't hurt your finger. You may have to apply a little pressure, this is the back-up eject release type of thing. This should open your player and eject your CD. This could have happened because you need to clean your player, or sometimes, when you insert the CD it doesn't quite go in right causing it to jam. I hope this helps. Robi
