When i shift from park or reverse to drive i hear a clinking that sounds like its coming from the rearend. i also noticed that when i accelerate it vibrates but stops after reaching around 15 to 20 mph. it also atarts vibrating again when i reach speeds over 55 to 60 mph but it does not stop vibrating after that. the drive shaft has some play in it when i move it from side to side where the drive shaft support is located.

I am having the same issue on an 06 Kia Sorento. This car was purchased used and I have had nothing but issues! Lights keep burning out and list goes on and on! The repairs on this vehicle is fixing to put me in a bankrupt status. I see several post where people are having the same issues! KIA ripped a bunch of people off and needless to say people who go into these dealerships buying these cars signing loan documents for defective vehicles are being ripped off! I smell a rat and I hope a class action lawsuit is brought forth!

Some parking brakes have a ratchet adjustment to take up slack. Or it maybe the exhaust heating up and you haven't noticed it before.

This time only, your dealer is right. The sound is the Brake to Shift Interlock (BTSI) solenoid releasing the shift lever when you apply the brake. The sound is normal and won't hurt anything but I understand your concern.
