I can not use private chat some thing wrong with it you need to find the alarm and cut the power to it or look in the owners manuel and find out what fuse turners it off i no you have motion detectors and ill bet the micro switch that is in the motion detector is bad most times you will find the alarm under the hood i don't no what kind you have so its hard to tell you where it is

I have a 2005 Ford Escape Alarm is going off for no reason at anytime day or night

I had something similar and when all was said and done I found mice had crawled up into my air intake and were living in my dash chewing on my electrical wiring harness. I thought my car was posessed by ghosts or something.

Door open sensor trips and alarm sounds

It's either the sensor itself or the wiring from the sensor to wherever it goes. I would start by swapping the two rear sensors and see if the fault moves to the other side. If not it's the wiring which you will need to trace and check all connectors involved.

The battery keeps dying and the alarm keeps going off. Alarm switch inside car does nothing to stop it.

Does the battery hold charge? Have you load tested the new battery or left the new battery disconnected for a couple of days to see if it is holding charge.
It does not happen often but the new battery could still be the problem.
The other way to find out what is going on is to remove one or two car fuses inside the dash at the end of each day and if the car battery is not flat the following day you have narrowed down the fault.

2003 VW Passat wagon, trunk alarm keeps indicating the luggage compartment is open and alarm goes off. Many dealer attempts to fix have failed. Is there a specific fuse for the trunk latch/alarm?

Hi

You have to replace the latch of your trunk. The contact is in the latch and most of the time you have to change the wire and the connector because they are oxided and make a resistance.

If I remember well you cannot remove any fuse to solve your problem because the fuse will affect some interior lamps and door lock system.

I had the same problem on a VW Golf

How do i install a wiring harness for a trailer on a 2002 ford focus wagon?

  • Loosen and pull back the carpeting in the back of the trunk behind the taillights.
  • Step 2 Remove the plastic wingnuts that secure the taillight to the vehicle's body.
  • Step 3 Separate the taillights from the vehicle's body, but do not disconnect the wiring.
    Installing the Connector
  • Step 1 Examine the wiring harness on each taillight. There will be a plastic connector on each side that must be separated to insert the wiring harness connector.
  • Step 2 Thread the trailer wiring connectors through holes in the body behind each taillight. Follow the instructions provided with the connector to determine which connector belongs in which side of the vehicle.
  • Step 3 Insert the wiring connectors into the vehicle's wiring harness.
    Reinstalling the Taillights
  • Step 1 Push the taillights into position against the body and reinstall the plastic wingnuts that secure them. Be careful not to crush the wiring.
  • Step 2 Route the trailer wiring underneath the carpeting in the trunk, so that the trailer connector can extend out between the trunk lid and bumper when in use, and be tucked into the trunk when not in use.
  • Step 3 Reposition the trunk carpet over the taillight housing.

    Malfunctioning car alarm

check the alarm sensor under the hood, it kinda looks like a mushroom and its near the engine coolant bowl. Disconnect it. Check the one in the trunk AFTER the one under the hood. It's under the tapestry in the trunk door. Remove the 12 or so black pins retaining the cover . The connector is white if i remember or it has a white wire. Disconnect that too. If that doesnt help, answer me and ill tell u how to remove the alarm permenantly. Might also wanna check the wires in the doors, they are in a rubber tube in each door near the hinges. Volkswagens all have the problem of broken qwires in the doors. Fix and tape em if necessary, but start with the one under the hood. good luck.
