Fortunately, what has been done will not affect the ABS so.... Have the system scanned and gather the code/s. It could be a sensor at the wheels or it could be as big as the module. Let me know the code/s and I can advise you accordingly.

The vehicle may just need to be reset by a shop with an ABS Scanner. Have the system scanned and reset; at that time you will find out if there are actually any error codes in the system.

I have a grinding noise and the petal shakes when I press on my brakes, after driving a couple of miles the abs light goes on. I replaced pads, rotors, master cylinder, brake booster, shocks, struts.

hi,

one of the replacement parts may have been faulty or may not have been put on right. take it back to where it was serviced or if you cant do that start with new rotors and pads in the front only, drive it and see if problem persists, if problem persists put new shoes on the back

I just put new pads on all the way around. ABS light still comes on. What is the first thing I should check? Brakes work, but feel soft.

The pads have absolutely nothing to do with the ABS light coming on. The first thing you should do is to scan your Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) to find out why it has turned the light on then diagnose accordingly.

After replacing front roters and pads - I have

It sounds like the calipers have seized after being pushed back to allow for the new pads. Take ot the new pads press the brake pedle slowly to release the caliper(just enough so it's released almost to full , then push back with your finghr and thumb) one side at a time, coat with copper slip and do the same on the other side. Rgarding the abs, make sure the new pads have the correct electrical connections to complete the abs circut, if not you will have to buy new ones that do. Hope that works

99 ford expedition, abs light stays on, front brakes seem to be dragging

When was the last time you changed the front brake pads?
Try this:
Keep the brake pedal pressed down and start the car, after it idles for about 10 second let go of the pedal. If the light comes on just as you leave the pedal - try pumping it a few times, turn the car off and pump the pedal some more until it becomes real hard.
Then, keeping your foot to the pedal, start the car.
Idle for about 10 seconds, let go of the pedal and press it again rel fast.
If the light doesnt come on again - it means you have a leak of some sort or that the main brake pump should be replaced.

Good luck.

Bmw 520i 1999 abs/asc lights on diagnostic

Check to see if your brake pads and rotors are in good condition. Or if you have replaced the pads yourself and have not reset the wheel sensors this would cause the ABS Antilock Brake System light and the ASC Automatic Stability Control light to stay on as the ASC uses the ABS brakes with computer assistance to control the car

Front Passenger brakes rubbing

Dis brakes have residual pressure thar keeps the pads in constant contact with the roter. It is very light contact, so not to worry. If left is not in contact with rotor then chk it for loose wheel bearings.

92 dodge van rear ABS-brake and ABS lights on/can't reset?

Its probably how your bleeding your brakes, but first make sure the bleeding nipples are facing upward. You should bleed diagonaly, front pass wheel then rear driver wheel. Then front driver wheel and rear pass wheel. The abs light has its own computer your have to get it scanned to clear the codes and turn off the light

ABS bleeding technique on GMC Yukon

If you forced the pads back into the calipers without loosening the bleeders you probably forced gunk into the abs modulator valves. Sometimes doing the automated bleed proceedure (need Tech or Bi Directional Scanner) will bring things back to life.
