Cindy, Check that there is not a short circuit in the trailer plug that hangs down from the rear of the bumper. If that is not it. Sounds like a bad wire to one of the tail lights. Check for pinched wires behind the lights and also bad bulbs have been known to cause some problems. Also if there is or was any body damage check the wiring in those areas,

What would cause my front dash light and my tail lights go out on a 98 Chevy Tahoe? It keeps blowing fuse after fuse. I have put in about 5 of them back to back and they keep blowing. Help

If the fuses keep blowing it means you have a short somewhere in your wiring harness. These can sometimes be a pain to track down. I would check the wiring in the rear closely first. If you have ever had a trailer hitch and wiring installed check that as installers sometimes screw things up.

My 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe does not have back up lights. The other lights are working fine and the bulbs are new. What is causing this problem?

The transmission neutral safety/ range selector switch is what turns on the backup lights. It's on the drivers side of the transmission. two plugs going to it. It could be this or a bad wire.

Ecm 1 fuse blow when attemping to start vehicle 1999 chevorlet tahoe replaced fuel pump

So as I understand it the fuse only blew after a fuel pump job.

There is a TSB on repeated fuel pump failures with these trucks. The fix is to also replace the harness connector that plugs into the tank harness.

Unplg the harness and inspect it before you turn the key again if you suspect this.

No parking lights, fuse keeps blowing.

There is a ground not connected or a wire open that is causing it to blow
