Question about 1999 Chevrolet Express

1 Answer

Is there an inline circuit breaker? I can't get power to start the van. Everything is down -- no lights or anything. I have a battery saver under the front dashboard but when I press the fashing light in I still don't get any power for lights or to turn the engine over.

Ford Expidition 2001, rear wiper is not working, water sprays but no action

The washer and wiper are two separate circuits. At the central junction box check 15A fuse 14 which feeds the battery saver relay. At the battery junction box, check fuse 12 which feeds the rear wiper down and up relays. Rear wiper action is controlled by the generic electronic module (GEM). If the rear wiper switch is set to one of the intermittent positions, the battery saver relay closes to apply power to the wiper down and up relays. The GEM selects high/low or park operation. Note that there is an internal thermal breaker in the rear wiper motor so if everything else checks out, the motor may have overheated and opened that fuse. also, the rear wiper relay(s) could be defective

My volvo s60 wont turn over but theres power in the battrie

Anything less than 12.6 volts, at the battery---is a battery that needs to be charged

Not going above 12.4 when the engine is running ---would indicate
your alternator isn't working,is that what you were told

2001 oldsmobile alero battery drain over night plulled all fuses and relays un pluged bcm and pcm still have draw

Just pulling the fuses obviously isn't enough. There are many circuit breakers supplying power to various systems. You would have to have everything removed to completely remove any drain. Knowing the amount of the drain (connect an ammeter inline with one of the battery lines) would be helpful.

Car is completely dead electrically. Went to turn it the key, all the dashboard lights came on and when I went to turn the engine over thier was a click and then everything went dead.

connection problem, somewhere. check battery cables-both, and connection at starter, and the battery ground on the body. May need to remove the conn.'s, clean off corrosion and re-tighten. If that doesn't fix, then start at the power distribution center under hood (probably near battery) and check your main power relays and/or circuit breakers. Hope this helps.

I replaced my battery on a 2005 chevy suburban.Everything works fine, but my Electronic climate control. When the A/c is on,it only blows out the defrost vents only.Could it be a blown fuse or circuit...

you most likely will have to have vehicle connected to a scanner and a recenter procedure performed on the blend door actuators it sounds as if you did not connect a memory saver before replacing battery and the computer has lost it,s logic before unhooking battery on anything newer than 01 in our shop we put a memory saver in the ciggarette lighter it only has a 9 volt battery but this prevents things like that from happening don,t have to reset clock, radio presets memory on seats and so on

Whole Electrical system shuts down when ignition key turned

Try cleaning the battery connectors at both ends and make sure the ground at the frame is clear of rust. If that check out, drop the starter and have it bench tested

Power window goes down, does not go up all the way.

You might have a circuit breaker getting weak in that circuit, as some manufacturers incorporate that, and it resets itself when key turned off. That might explain why inches after key turned off & on. Does your manual, or fuse panel have anything labeled as circuit breaker? Have a listen under dash on both sides of vehicle, and down near kick panels by feet area while someone tries window for you, and see if you can by chance hear circuit breaker trip (click) . Actually, get them to jog it down & it may be easier to hear & locate.

2000 venture van side power door will not open - both disabled

Click on the link.
If you think the problem is a fuse or circuit breaker, I see three fuses and a circuit breaker. Use a test lite and check voltage at circuit breaker and fuses, some are hot all the time, I believe one goes hot with the key on.
