I'm in the UK so parts and books for a Crown Vic are hard to come by, there must be at most 200-300 Crown Vics in the whole of the country. I have recently had my drivers side mirror "removed" by some helpful kids and I obviously want to put it back on. Anyone here have a wiring diagram for the electric motor inside the mirror housing? I simply cannot find anything in the UK that is of any use.

Re: 2003 cvpi wing mirror
First of all if you have the new mirror off of a crown vic or grand marquise there is nothing to worry about wiring because you have to take the door panel off and once off all you have to do is plug in the new mirror the same way you took the old one off

Does it work when you turn the A/C on? The fan always kicks on with the A/C, if it doesn't look for a blown fuse. Or possibly a fan motor burnt up. If it works with the A/C but doesn't when the engine is too warm, it is probably the temperature sensor.
DID YOU CHECK THE FUEL PUMP SHUTOFF SAFETY SWITCH ON THE LH/DRIVERS SIDE IN THE TRUNK & MAKE SURE IT IS DOWN ,& EVEN IF IT IS SOMETIMES YOU CAN TAKE SOMETHING & PUSH IT UP & THEN PUSH IT BACK DOWN & IT WILL CRANK,& BELOW THAT SWITCH IN THE TRUNK IS A FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE ,IT MAY BE BAD,THOSE ARE A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT HAVE WORKED FOR ME ,& THATS PRETTY MUCH ALL I DO IS WORK ON FORDS, & LX CROWN VICS & P71 POLICE CROWN VICS WHERE I AM WORKING, HOPE THAT IT MIGHT HELP YOU FIX IT. those control units in the crown vics **** out all of the time. they're not cheap from the dealer, try auto parts stores for aftermarket or junk yards.
one trick we did with cabs was to pull the unit out and splice the black and blue vacuum lines together. that's great for summer, but you have only vent then.
There are actually two fuse boxes, at least on my 01 Vic CVPI. The primary one is under the dash on the driver's side and to the left of the steering column. the second one is under the hood near the battery. Your owner's manual should have a diagram as what fuses control your car's accessories. Hope this helped! Bill
