I am putting a 1982 350 in a 1994 Z71 will the flywheel work

what do you mean will the flywheel work
a flywheel is just a bit of metal designed to carry the pistons over compression strokes and to give a torque response on sudden loading of the crankshaft
if the flywheel is off the motor originally it will fit
no are you saying will the different clutch kit fit well that is a different matter or if you connecting it to an auto transmission then there is no flywheel as suck, just a flex plate that is connected to the torque converter which then acts as the flywheel

Put in new starter after rethreading the hole

A lot of V-8 Chevys, GM's, for that matter, need shims between the starter and the block. Go to your local auto-parts store and just tell the guy what you need!

1965 mustang starter fires but won't engage flywheel. it is a brand new starter

Doesn't matter. The forks inside the starter may be missing or broke off or bad spring in starter that pushes the gear out. Try new started. Starter may have to be shimmed to make contact with flywheel. Starter may be kicking out but not engaging flywheel.

2003 Lincoln Navigator starter grinding when starting

If you mean the starter grinds from time to time and won't crank the engine when it happens, the problem could be a bad spot on the flywheel and/or a faulty starter. The starter uses a magnet and bendix gear to push the starter gear into the flywheel. If the magnet or bendix is weak, the gear will not engage and can damage the teeth on the flywheel.
You need to have the starter removed and check the flywheel teeth for damage.

Took the motor and trans out of 98 gmc sonoma replaced the motor and put everything back together. trans worked fine when we took it apart and now it will not move no matter what gear you put it in it is...

are the three bolts to the torque convertor screwed into the flywheel also? It seems they are not by your description.
the three bolts are on the outer parimeter of the flywheel

How do you synchronize timing belts when installing them?

find the mark on the flywheel. it will be 3 marks close together ,( it will NOT be the ignition timing mark) line the middle mark to the pointer on the flywheel. cover. (top of engine, to the rear) now one cam pulley mark will be at 12 o clock, and the other at 6 o clock, it doesnt matter which. once the belt is on and the marks lined up, then tension the belts. once they are on, you can put the front crank pulley on and it should run. the cam pulleys may want tp turn one way or the other when lining up the marks, but they must end up, tensioned, with the marks lined up.

Removal of Manual Transmission in a 1990 VW Jetta

it is a major pain but it does come out you will need to rotate the rear of trans up and pull trans back far enough to disengage the pilot shaft that will let you move it toward the firewall just enough to clear flywheel. almost impossible to do on a trans jack, put on some gloves and eat your wheeties and yank it by hand. warn others there may be some cussing.
