Hello! The sensor is located on the right hand side (passenger) of the radiator. Approximately 4 inches below the radiator filler neck and cap on the engine side adjacent to the battery. The module is about 2" X 2" square with an electrical connector, gray in color. Is this the sensor you changed?my add coolant light come - saailer_152.jpg

If it is, check the connector for broken wires and dirty pins.....Guru...........Saailer

Yes clean the pins and put a little oil on them. If it still comes on, which happened to mine, then coolant needs flushed out and new added. Worked fine then

Low coolant light flashes

I agree. It sounds like you like you just need to add some coolant. If your coolant is full, it is a sensor problem. The sensor is usually near the top of the radiator, or even on the coolant resevoir. The perfect solution is to replace it with a new one, but if you do not have the time and or money, you can just unplug the wires from the back of the sensor. Volvo trucks with a Cummins diesel engine had an epidemic with these sensors. Most of the time the customers just wanted it unplugged. In many of the diesels I have worked on also have a safety switch to where it will not start if the low coolant light is on.

Coolant boiling in resevoir.

It can be faulty coolant temperature sensor. Its not sensing exact coolant heat temperature so its overheating then required level.

-----------

Get the coolant pressure tested, its definitely leaking coolant. You will need to get the coolant running line.

Pressure test will help you to know from where exactly coolant/refrigerant is getting leaked.

Had head gaskets changed, coolant warning came on , car is not running hot

Add coolant and bleed the coolant system, unless this is a low coolant light, just remove the sensor, and clean it,and put it back in.

Just got an oil change and the oil change light is still coming on (it was doing this before I got it changed and the time before that) but now, the low coolant light is on as well...they checked all the...

To clear the oil change light, turn the key to on,and press the accelerator pedal three times real slow within 5 seconds, this will clear the light, now on the coolant light sensor, low coolant, remove the sensor on the passengers side of the radiator,it has a wire clip,so use a small pick, with a slight hook on it,the sensor is square, and flat,You will see,it needs to be cleaned out, most likely with air pressure, then put the clip back on the sensor, and it will snap back on,refill the radiator. If this was at all helpful, please rate,I have a 2000 montana myself,

Add Coolant to spherical reservoir at right rear of engine compartment as viewed from front. If it is low the coolant gauge flashing light will warn you of a low condition.

It may be due to a faulty coolant level sensor - look on the bottom of the coolant reservoir and you should see an electrical harness plugged in. That sensor detects how much coolant is in the system. If you're low on coolant, or if the sensor is malfunctioning, it could be the cause of the warning light. Check your coolant level, add as appropriate, and if it does not go away, look into changing the sensor.

Low coolant light coming on

if the coolant level is ok then replace the low coolant light sensor, they are a real problem with these low coolant lites, the sensor is located in the side tank of the radiator, it is held in by a spring clip, very easy to change, u can also try leaning it 1st before replacing that often does the trick.
