My 1998 Silhouette back door won't unlock with key or fob

follow the steps and fix it. God bless you
    • 1 Enter the passenger side of the vehicle and look under the dashboard, beneath the glove box and near the floor mat. With the aid of a flashlight, locate a large panel, which is held in place by screws. Unscrew the panel manually or use a screwdriver if the screws are too tight.
    • 2 Locate the fuse panel. The panel houses long rows of fuses mounted to the panel. Consult the vehicle's owner manual to determine which of the fuses controls the automatic doors
    • 3 Remove the fuse that controls the automatic doors with a pair of fuse pliers, or carefully with a pair of regular pliers. Examine the fuse by shining the flashlight close against it. If the metal bar inside the fuse is broken, the fuse has been blown.
    • 4 Replace the blown fuse with a fuse of equal amperage. Push the new fuse in place, confirming it is a snug fit.
    • 5 Test the automatic doors before screwing the fuse panel cover back in place. If the doors close automatically after you manually give them a tug, the problem was the blown fuse. Replace the fuse panel cover under the glove box.
    • 6 Test the automatic doors with your remote control. If they do not open or close, the problem is with the remote. Pop the rear cover off of the remote with a screwdriver and replace the battery.

My Skoda Octavia '97 lighter don't work.

The lighter socket has a separate fuse. I'm not really sure where the cockpit fuse panel is located in your model (didn't have myself), but I'm sure it should be documented in the owners manual.
Later models had the fuse panel at the left dashboard side which is accessible from the opened drivers door. (UK: possibly mirrored) I can imagine the early octavia still has the fuse panel under the dash either at drivers or passenger side. This was usual for a long time.

How to chang fuse for dash board lights

Alrighty. Judging by your owner's manual (the online version), there is a trim panel underneath the right hand side of the instrument panel (should be underneath the steering wheel). You will need to take that off (it looks like 4/6 bolts/screws), and then there is the fusebox cover, pull that lightly off, too. Now, when you're looking at the fuses, there should be a long, unbroken string of 11 blade-type fuses on one side. You are wanting to get at fuse #6. It is a 15 amp blade-type fuse. After that, reinstall the fuse cover and the trim panel. If I'm unclear, and I'm not ruling this out, let me give you a good link to the manual I used: http://www.motorcraftservice.com/?link=002&urlfile=/pubs/content/~WO5F12/~MUS~LEN/36/05f12og5e.pdf . Straight from Ford. I wish you the best of luck-and I'm not a Ford person, but if something goes wrong, don't be afraid to grab me back to help more.

I am trying to find part numbers. I have a Hyundai Elantra 2005. I need to know the radio fuse number, roof light fuse number and clock fuse number. All of them went out.

Am not sure whether you have the Hyundai Owners Manual. If you don't I find it very worthwhile. Section 6, the "do it yourself section" lists page 6-34 and 6-35 for fuse descriptions. Also on the cover of the fuse box in the car under the ash tray left of the driver is a pictogram, but in any case according to my manual radio and clock are both listed on the "audio" and is in the inner panel, the 10A at the top right(next to the spare). Don't know about your roof light - hope you don't take offense but assume you checked the switch just didn't get set wrong, but if it isn't solved by fixing that one, the manual lists RoomLP controlling the inside lights, which is in the bottom (shorter) row on the far right. Of course, this might not help but if it does I could possibly scan my owner's manual page and email it if you can't find one.

Hi, that fuse is under the hood. You can see diagrams of both panels in the owner's manual. Get a free download here if you don't have one:

Right side low beam headlight is out. I replaced it. It still does not work. I am sure it is a fuse.. I do not have my owners manual to see which fuse corresponds to that head light. The high beam does...

The fuse for the right (passenger) side low beam headlamp is located in the fuse box under the hood in the engine compartment. Below I gave you a picture of the fuse layout and the fuse you are looking for is the fuse in the number 6 location and should be a 10 amp fuse. I hope you don't take this the wrong way but some people get right and left mixed up and don't understand when you are talking right and left, it's as if you are sitting in the car. I just to make sure you have the correct fuse. If you happen to be talking about the "drivers" side low beam, that fuses is in the number 1 position in that same panel. I hope this helps you and good luck.

My 2 amp fuse in the driver side fuse interior fuse box, that seems to control the wiper washer and wipers, keeps blowing...any idea?

I don't know for sure, but I believe it is supposed to be a 15 or 20amp fuse and not a 2amp. Check your owners manual or the fuse panel cover just to make sure

I have to change my fuse for my headlights, but my fusebox cover is in japanese my car is a 1991 mitsubishi 3000gt vr4

Wish I had like an owners manual that just give a layout and what the fuse is for. I don't but found some stuff I did have that may help. I hope it does for your sake. It looks like there's a couple of fuse boxes and relay boxes. Th first picture (below) is a picture of a relay box located in the engine compartment. You should be able to tell if it's the right box by the layout. It looks like in the number 5 position there is a 10 amp fuse but that seems to cover high beams (see description in next picture below). Then there is a multi purpose fuse box and going to gues that's inside the vehicle but when you find it you will be able to tell it's the right one by the layout (see next picture). In the number 10 position there seems to be a fuse that covers the headlights but only if you DON'T have anti-theft. Description of the fuse layout is in the next picture. Then there is the headlamp relay itself. It's located in the relay box somewhere in the engine compartment but again you will be able to tell it's the right one by the layout (see the next picture) It looks like the headlamp relay is in the A-01X position. Wish I could be of more help or at least not having to be so detailed but all I have is the factory service manual. If you do need anymore information please don't hesitate to email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with detailed questions so I can send the correct information. I hope this helps and good luck. here's your pictures.

Where is the fuse box located?

Passenger compartment fuse panel / power distribution box

The fuse panel is located under the right-hand side of the instrument

panel. Remove the trim panel and fuse box cover to access the fuses.

To remove the fuse box cover, place

a finger behind the PULL tab and

your thumb above the PULL tab as

shown in the illustration, then pull

the cover off.

To reinstall the fuse box cover, place the top part of the cover on the

fuse panel, then push the bottom part of the cover until you hear it click
shut. Gently pull on the cover to make sure it is seated properly

here is a link to Ford site, u can download the onwers manual there it is free. The above info was copied from the owners manual.
