Yes it would if they didn't hook the reverse lamp switch back up. Tack it back to them and have them finish the job. All they are going to find is an unplugged connector and should be able to have it back to you in about 5 - 10 minutes. Let me know if you need anything else.

No there is nothing that would effect your reverse lights unless they dissconnected a ground wire while they were replacing the clutch

Reverse light not working what to do

If bulbs are good then you need to check the switch that powers them when you put the car into reverse.

FYI - Neutral safety switch prevents car from starting unless it is in neutral transmission position only.

Hyundai tuscon 05. Reverse light doesnt work, bulb fine ,fuse are good and new switch installed. What next?

Does bulb socket have a ground wire, or just uses mounting point as ground? Check for voltage at each part of system. Start with fuse, then switch both in and out of reverse, then bulb.

Reversing lights not working

Hello!

Is it that only 1 light goes on? Or is the problem effecting both backup lights?

If it is only 1 light with the problem, you probably just need to replace the bulb with a new one. But if it is both lights then you may need a fuse or some other troubleshooting methods.

Check out whether both bulbs are out, if not, post back for further assistance.

I have replaced reverse light bulb, however new bulb will not work. I have checked the bulb, the fuses and the wiring, any ideas why can't get it work. Also indicator on dash still present.

The reverse light switch is a mechanical device used to control operation of the vehicle reverse lights. The switch is designed to complete the circuit when reverse gear is selected allowing reverse light operation (manual transmission only).

1988 pathfinder no dash lights no revers lights no tail lights no gaiges

If they all stopped working at the same time then it is probably a fuse or possibly 2. Check your fuse panels in the dash and under the hood. The dash lights and gauges should be a fuse labeled instrument cluster or guages, it is probably blown. The other fuse to look for will be the tail light fuse. This is where I would begin.

Reverse lights wont work

On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced
