Your owners manual will say for sure be but its likely going to be dependent on the temperature. If you are in a warm climate it will likely be fine. Just double check your owners manual.

Is it 10W-40 or 15W-40 Engine oil for 1998 Nissan Bluebird. Many Thanks Suman Roy

Either one will not damage the engine. If there is less than 50,000 miles on it then stick with 10W40. Higher mileage engines will do better on 15W40

What type of oil viscosity and how many quarts to use in a 1994 Nissan pickup.

10w 40 and about 4 1/2 quarts should do it. To help maintain the engine life due to high mileage, use the Nissan filters. There is a manufactured difference in filters.

Oil and Gas

1986 CHRYSLER FIFTH AVENUE 5.2L 8-cyl Engine Code [P]

LUBRICANTS & FLUIDS:
Engine Oil Grade 1....SAE ..API*
Above -18C......10W-30, 10W-40, 10W-50
Above -7C......20W-40, 20W-50

CAPACITIES:
Engine, without filter..........3.8 liters Add extra oil when replacing filter. After refill check oil level.

Use Lucas oil treatment and use the 10W-40, if your going to use the 20W-50. Use no oil treatment, the 20W-50 is thick enough. 15W-40 is what's used on the Diesel engines use on the 18 wheel trucks.

Thank you for using fixya.

What is the oil weight for this car?

You don't say if you have a gasoline or diesel engine. For the diesel I would recommend Shell Rotella 15W-40 oil. For gasoline engines I would recommend a 10W-30 or thicker. (The larger the number the higher the viscosity.) If you have high mileage you might want to use a 20W-50 oil, but in colder climates you may want more like a 5W-30. Sometimes the oil cap has the spec printed on it.

1996 mitsubishi eclipse oil recommendation

It probably wont hurt to use a high mileage oil or even a 10W-40. Most cars use 10W-30 but if your car has a few miles on it it may help to use a higher mileage formula or even synthetic. You may want to try a slightly heavier oil like 15W-30 or 40.

I don't have the book for my car. What type of

I have a 96 accord, same motor, my recommendations on this model are 2 different kinds, 5w-30 or 10w-30. the 5W-30 is the preferred. as for which brand, I choose to go with Penzoil synthetic or synthetic blend. both are a little more expensive than regular oil. Castrol is another great choice and Valvoline has a high mileage oil out on the market. Stick with a 5W-30 and choose your brand. Good Luck!
