On newer vehicles they seal the tranns so that you have to go to dealerships to service them if you go underneath there should be a looking glass on the side of the case above this there is a tube looking piece of metel almost looking like if they continue it there would be a dip stick but they canceled that to save money...anyways at the top of that piece of metel there is a cap similer to the plug on the bottom of the radiator unscrew this and take like a turkey baster **** some oem trans fluid and fill there is a special tool that is meant for this but a baster is a lot cheaper

The transmission is sealed, not meant to be maintained by consumer, supposedly "maintenance free."

SOURCE: where do i put the transmission fluid in my 2002

Ours has a red cap, located on the transmission case under the brake master cylinder. You unscrew the cap use a funnel with a long hose and fill to the top.

Where do I check the transmission fluid

Hi, follow the detailed instruction below on how to check the Transmission fluid on your Chevy Cavalier 2001.
  1. Turn the Cavalier on and put it in neutral. Make sure your hand brake is engaged to keep the car from moving while you work on it. Open your car's hood so that you have access to the engine.
  2. Look for your Cavalier's transmission dipstick. It should stick out from the body of the engine, and be clearly labelled as "transmission fluid." Refer to your Cavalier's owner's manual for a diagram of engine parts if you have trouble locating the dipstick.
  3. Pull the dipstick out and clean it off with a rag. Reinsert the dipstick and pull it out again. Check the end of the dipstick for your reading; the transmission level will be measured on the dipstick by labels like "low," "medium" and "high." If your dipstick has no fluid on it, it means that your Cavalier is almost out of transmission fluid and needs more. A low reading also indicates a need to add more fluid. If the fluid is low, add a bottle of transmission fluid, available for purchase at auto supply shops. Add fluid and repeat this process until your dipstick shows a reading of "high" or "full."

I can't find where to put my transmission fluid in my 98 chevy cavalier. Please help.

On the cavaliers the transmission fluid does not have a separate fill location from the Check stick. To fill this just take a long funnel and fill it in the dipstick check hole

Ifound where you put transmission fluid in the trans. but i can not find where to or how to check the fluid level it is and auotmatic. 2004 chevy cavalier

There is a small plug (10mm) located in the transmission near where the passenger (right) side drive axle enters the transmission. With the engine warm and at idle, remove the plug and top of the fluid level until the fluid starts to run out the hole.
Not quite user friendly.
Good luck
