The motor wont crank over & it acts like it's out of gas! The it's got gas & the battery is brand-new ?

Sounds like fuel pump is out and know there's not a reset best I can remember

have starter checked to see how many amps it is drawing

check for loose grounds and powers-in need of cleaning-at the Battery

To clarify - - if the engine cranks the battery and starter are ok.
The alternator does not come into play until the engine is running.
If it cranks but won't start, you have to figure out if you are missing fuel to the injectors or spark to the plugs to proceed.
A mechanic would check that and if there are any trouble codes stored in the computer.

The first thing you need done is to thave the properly battery tested with a special tool. Most parts stores dop this test for free.

Try a little starting fluid in the intake (not too much, just enough to test). If it takes off for a second or so, may be water in gas. Ten months old? It should be alright, unless it's loaded with water.

always check the simplest things first. is it getting spark? if so, is it getting gas? if so, is it getting enough gas? and so on...

does the engine crank normally?? when you say it "attempts" to start?? how was the battery run dead??

The clicking that you hear is the starter solenoid. You either have a dead battery, or a corroded battery cable connection. You cant always see the second one, so it's best to clean the connections wether or not you think they look corroded.
Either way, jump starting or push starting (if it's a manual trans) will get you home.

Does it even try? Have you checked for spark?
