1973 ford f250 trailer special. new alt. wont

That would be my first guess, they are not very exspensive,if this still does not help, run a large wire on the back of the alternator with the old one still connected,to the positive battery post. This will increase the voltage to the battery also.Put it on the large batt, connector on the alternator, and run it to the battery post+

I screwed up and did not label the wires when I took off the alternator on mt 1973 Mustang Mach 1 351C. I know where the orange wire goes, but the others(s) I'm clueless. Thanks

Red goes to the threade post, main output marked"batt".Orange and blue go to the post marked "feild",closest to the rear bearing. The white and black go to the post marked"sta" or stator. If there is a ground or all black wire it goes to one of the posts on the back of the alt that has no plastic insulater.Let me know if you need more help.

On 1973 Ford LTD the battery runs down while

dear friend-the voltage that you are measuring is battery voltage and as soon as you try to start the vehicle it will drop to 9 volt which is not enought to start.if you remove the pos, battery clamp and put a test light between the pole and the terminal and and the light lites up then there is a draw running the battery flat.

1973 p20 Chevy van brake light not working

Check your fuses and if you have power coming out of switch when it is depressed.if that is ok check to see if you have power and ground back at the brake light sockets.if power is coming out of switch but not back at lights, look for open in wires also the brake light wires run thru the turn signal switch you could have a faulty turn signal switch.
