Question about 1999 Volkswagen Cabrio

I need to bleed the lines for my roof for my 1999 cabrio. There are no leaks the motor is working i just need to get the air out of the lines. How do i do that

I have a 1999 plymouth grand voyager i changed the brakes 3 months ago and bleed them and now i press the brakes and it goes all the way to the floor and it fails to stop. what could it be?


it sounds like there is either a leak somewhere in the system or you still have air in the system.check the wheel cylinders for wetness and lines,also check to see if the master cylinder is leaking by unbolting it from the firewall and position it so you can see the back of the cylinder to check for dampness.you don`t have to remove the lines from it to do this.if you re-bleed the system start at the lines at the master cylinder and work towards the wheels until there is no air in the system,make sure the master cylinder doesn`t go empty or very low when doing this.

Just changed rotors and front brake pads. Pumped pressure back with break pedal. After you start vehicle all break pressure is lost- no breaks. Whats going on?


You are either low on brake fluid or you have a vacum problem. It is a long shot but possible the Master Cylinder is having an issue or an air bubble in the system. Start the vehicle and make sure it is blocked. With the engine running perform system bleeds on all four calipers. Pump 3 times then release bleed valve. You are going to need a couple bottles of brake fluid to bleed all these calipers and get the air out of the lines. You should make sure the primary vacum is connected to the master cylinder and that there are no leaks on any lines before you start the bleeding process.

1999 vw cabrio convertible top doesn't works


You have to put hydraulic fluid (power steering fluid will work too) in the convertible top motor. The motor is in the trunk, on the left hand side, under a panel. Pull the panel off and that is the electric motor for the top. You'll see a reservoir where you put in the fluid. Put in the fluid and you'll be good to go.

the hydraulic pump may have gone out in order to put the top down or up you will have to lower it by hand first under the top motor there is a t- handled valve loosen that to bleed air pressure then you should be able to manually lower or raise the top

1999 jeep cherokee limited- no pressure when I press break down, small leak beneath left tire I re-filled brake fluid, what should I do next?


you need to bleed the brakes,,get any air in the system out.....but make sure you fix that leak or the pipe or what ever is wrong first,,,,then get help bleeding the brakes ,,,you kinda have to no how to bleed them though you need 2 people one pumping the brakes the other bleeding the calipers,,,,

check for power at the switch then follw power and ground to the motor if its all good its the motor

Brake pedal goes all the way to the floor!


I have changed brake pads before and did not lose any fluid but air can get in the lines. Brake fluid is not compressible while air is, so if you get air in your lines it compresses when you hit the pedal there fore the pedal goes down to floor and your brakes dont grab that good. You can either bleed the brakes your self by starting at the wheel furthest away from the brake fluid reservoir and unscrewing bleeder hose and letting the fluid just bleed out. (get something to catch it and dispose of it properly). Make sure you keep the reservoir under your hood full of brake fluid while letting the other stuff by tires bleed out. Work your way from the furthest tire first and the closest one to the reservoir last. GOODLUCK!
