Question about Ford Explorer Sport Trac

My 2002 sport trac is overheating and dont where, gauges are going crazy and now, its smoking from somewhere underneath. please advise.EK

Ok these vehicles are very bad for having leaks in two places. The first is the seems of the radiator now this is the least common. The other is the thermostat housing that has the top hose attacked to it on the motor. The base of this housing gets hot and warps then crackes. the whole thing is made out of plastic. Be addvised useing some kind of silocone to seal it off will not work if all ready leaking it will break some where else.

2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. the turn signals click real fast and they dont work and the brake lights dont work either. what could be the problem and how do i fix it?


check the wiring to the rear sockets, including grounds then work your way forward, check the brake light switch then the signal light switch which i figure is bad but no sense replacing till you know everything else is good
