I just pulled the panels out starting with the top center then the bottom center. I then pulled the panel straight out. Grab the arm and twist it to open the window. There are 2 - 3/8 (10 MM) headed bolts holding the motor in. Remove the bolts then open the window as far as you can. The motor won't fit through the vent opening but you can pull the arm out a little farther. If you look closely, you will see a "C" type clip which is inserted into the bottom of the round knuckle joint just before the piece that fastens to the window. Spray this joint with a little WD-40. Wait a few minutes for the WD-40 to work then stick either a small flat screwdriver or a pointed awl into the round part of the clip. Pry this clip out very gently. Once the clip is out, the motor arm will release very easily. Reverse to reinstall.

Hope this helps.

Greasedog, There is power to the plugin at the motor. That shows that the motor is cooked. However, I also recommend doing a check to see if there is power at the plug. It's easy to do. Before removing the motor, shove the point of a circuit tester into the plug beside the red wire with the white stripe. Have someone activate the switch for the vent. If the tester lights up then you need to replace the motor. If it doesn't light up, you need to check elsewhere for the problem. Start by checking the fuse to be sure it isn't blown and work your way out from there.

How do i replace the window motor

This is a common problem with driver side window. Its just a wear and tear problem. Don't go to the dealership, the Regulator will cost you over $230. Go to Amazon.com and search for the part number which should cost you only $70-80 or so. If you go to a glass place they will charge you dealership price plus $150 per hour. I say do it yourself which goes a little something like this.

2000 dodge caravan window motor

You have to remove the door panel first, After the door panel is removed you have to remove the window motor AND the cable system in the door. When you install the replacement window motor/regulator, you'll have to slightly modifiy the inside of the door frame for it to set in properly, when you get to that point you'll see what I'm talking about.
