Ive had some of the same problems until the other day when my car would start fine then all of a sudden every light on my dashboard starts comming on...my dashboard lights are very dim and my radio clock wouldnt come on either and the check engine light came on then went back off...i went and bought a new battery but havent put it in yet...could my alternator be bad and if so how do you get it out yourself?

I found out the problem with the stalling Intrepid. Apparently it was the MAP sensor.

The car is hard to start, after driving for a few minutes-when you put on the brakes and get below 20 miles an hour, it just dies. When you get stopped and put it back into drive-it restarts great, but keeps dieing when you get under 20 miles and hour.

I have a dodge custom van 1500 half ton if you leave the battery connected for 4-5 days will run the battery down.If you drive down the highway at sustained speed 60 or more van speeometer will start to surge twenty miles more than what you are going also emergergency brake light will come and and stay until you stop and let van sit for a few minutes then go down the road and within a few miles it does it again I have drove it over 700 miles while it does this does not effect the performance of van

Try haviing your alternator checked advance auto parts can check it while its on the car and the can check the battery too. if thats not it it may stall due to a loose battery connection or a loose ground strap. if it stalls and everything turns of (electrical) it may be a connection or ground strap.

4 cyl Engine starts and idles ok...give it throttle and it dies

I need to get a clear mental picture of what exactly is happening.

With this said, you stated that the car "runs fine" until warmed up.

Q: When you start the car when cold it idles fine?
Q: If you allow the car to idle until "fully" warmed does the car stall?
Q: As the car begins to warm up, Does the RPM fluctuate abnormally?
Q: Does the car Only stall when you press on the gas pedal or does it stall just sitting and idling in addition to pressing the gas pedal?
Q: If you can drive it while cold does the car stall during acceleration when warm or only at Stop Signs / Lights?
Q: If you wait 20min or so, can you start the car again?
Q: How many miles are on the car?
