Every time I go over a bump or hit a pothole there is a loud clunking noise coming from the front end. Anyone else had the same problem.

You have some joint or bushing that is worn. Could be ball joint, stabilizer bar bushing. Many possibilities. A look underneath might show you the answer.

Peugeot 306 hdi estate clunking noise

Should check stabiliser "D" bushes + links for wear. Also check ball joints. If not sure how ask your mechanic to check these specific things + tell them its clunking at L/H/F. If it is a ball joint it is dangerous cause it is basicly what holds what your front wheel is bolted to in place.

Clunk noise from front passenger side when

That noise sounds to me like a Ball Joint problem. I would check to see if you have fittings to grease the front suspention.

Good luck, Allen

Clunking noise front passenger when i hit a bump

It's unlikely to be a ball joint on an '05. Make sure the mechanic jacks the car up under the lower control arm then checks radial and axiel (up and down). The sway bar links are bad about making noise.

Clunking noise coming from upper passenger side when I hit a bump.

If you aren't afraid of jacking up the vehicle, you can test to see where the problem is coming from. Jack the vehicle up by the pinch well (most newer cars have grooves cut out or that can be popped out behind the front wheels). When the wheel is in the air, try moving it side to side, then up and down. Excessive side to side movement indicates a tie rod end, up and down indicates a ball joint, and all around indicates a wheel bearing which would also be a cause for the clicking sound you are hearing.

Most auto shops will check this for you free of charge when you get an oil change, since they're trying to sell you things anyway.
