It could be that the cooling fan is about to go. one of the things that could be happening to you is that your a.c. will be going hot and cold hot and cold.

Have you tried replacing the overflowtank top. This can cause your problem. A lot of people don't realize this. It gets worn and can;t hold the pressure of coolant. Change it out $8 and let us know.
