I have 2003 Monte carlo when its hot outside and sun beating down on it, I turn the key and nothing happens. I have to try several times then it starts.

The security light doesnt come on and stay on and it doesnt flash at any time.

Next time this happens, check out the dash and see if there is a light on somewhere that says SECURITY. When the anti theft begins to fail, it can disable your starter making the ignition seem like its doing nothing. If you see the security light when this happens then id say 100% that this your problem. 2000 monte Carlo ignition is stuck in off wont turn

How many times must you post the same question? Have you insured you are using the correct key? If so, spray WD-40 or similar into lock, put key in and out several times, wiggle, respray and keep trying. Try turning the steering wheel slightly back and forth as you do this. Good luck, you may have to disassemble if a part inside broke.

Check battery terminals are tight, check the starter terminals are tight. Ignition relays.

How di I reset my security light on my 2003 monte carlo

PASSKEY LOCKOUT RESET ALL GM CARS 1999 AND UP
1) Put the key in the ignition and turn to the "ON" position. Leave it that way for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes turn the key and take it out. Repeat this process (2) more times (3 times, 30 minutes total) This should reset the PASSKEY system to recognize your key.

My monte carlo wont crank over when i turn the key i hear nothing after a few trys than it finally starts,it does this when its colder outside.it warmed up alittle right now so it starts right up

Sounds like a security system try putting the key in turn it on dont try to start wait 10mins turn off remove key for 5 seconds repeat 2 more times see if this helps

AC works great under 72 degrees or when not in sun soon as it gets hot out doesnt work at all . 2002 chevt monte carlo fully charged with freon

This problem is usually due to bad compressor. They adjust the temp of A/C by the outside temp.

Without key in on position, press and hold eject button. Turn key on, this worked for me.

Remember not to leave CD in player if car will get hot from the sun. This could be wharping CD preventing it from ejecting.
