If i understand u correctly u replaced the distributor and cap if so i would start with making sure my pick up coil was installed correctlyand or replace it.i also would look at the possibility of it being a powertrain control module or neutral safety switch if this vehicle is equipt with one. hope ive been helpful

Toyota pickup 94 model cant get spark plugs 2 fire replaced pickup coil igniter rotor buton wires cap coil fires plugs wont

I had to replace the magnetic pick-up sensor on the side of the distributor that tells the coil when to fire on my 86 truck. It was $80 and slips onto the distributor held on by the cap.

Yes i have a 96 chevy 2500 with a 350 and i cant fegure out what is causeing an engine miss i done repalced plugs wires roter and crank sensor it only mises when driving engins sounds solid at idle

What you are saying is the engine runs rough under load.
If the fuel system is in good condition, the ignition system would be my first target.
You mentioned plugs wires and rotor. Did you replace the cap ?
What about the coil ? The pickup in the bottom of the distributor ?
Any of these components could cause a miss-fire.
Even a faulty O2 sensor could cause a lean fuel mixture.
Is the check engine light on when you are driving ?

2003 trailblazer 5.3 no fire change cam & crank sensor

if its got no fire and you changed your cam and crank sensor try replacing the ignition Coil then if it doesn't work replace the distributor cap and spark plugs and wires if that doesn't work then take the distributor cap off and replace the distributor Rotor if it still doesn't work replace the wires to the rotor if still i dosent work check your fuses but i assure you that should fix it.

NO SPARK PUT A NEW COIL ON DID NOT FIX TOOK IT TO A GSRAGE SAID IT NEEDED A CRANK SENSOR CAM SENSOR WIRES PLUGS DIST CAP AND ROTER RAN ONE DAY NOW THEY SAID A HOLE DISTRIBUTER AND A TIMEING BELT.I REALLY...

If you are sure they said, a distributer cap a roter and a distributer, there is a problem! Because on a 1998
plymouth, there is no distributer or cap or roter.
Your cam sensor along with the crank sensor-temp sensor and a few other sensors, send a signal to the
powertrain control module, that sends a signal to the
coil pack(that you said was replaced) that fires the
spark plug. I would hold off from having any further
work done there, until you can check out what they
say they have already done. Ask if you can have the
old parts they replaced so far. You will want to have
an OBDII scan test done, to see what codes come up. It should have one of the first tests they did.
If I have read your post correctly, have them write an
estimate for what they will replace next. This info. is
based on the car being a 1998 plymouth and not a
1988 I would not wan't to acuse somone of anything
based on a typo. Hope this helps. Good luck.
