It sounds like the motor is bad. Remove the door panel and locate the window motor. Disconnect the motor wiring harness and connect a test light between the two terminals. With the key on operate the switch to see if power is present. The light should light in either direction. If it does, then the most likely cause is a bad motor. Most window motors are riveted on to the regulator. Drill out the rivets and use the bolts that come with the replacement motor.

Remove your door panel, disconnect the motor plug, grab your car battery with 2 cables one in each terminal and connect them on the motor plug, one cable in each pin, be careful that the cables don´t touch each other. The polarity doesn't matter, cause if you change them they are going up or they will go down ok. If the window it's up and it doesn't move change the polarity and it should go down. If it works then it could be the switch or something electrical from the plug to the switch. If it does nothing then it´s probably that the window motor doesn't work anymore and you should cange the whole mecanism.
Go to this link ,, if this doesn't show you what you want, look to the right on that page for more http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD_2pHe0FeI once you get to the motor,, if you have some jumpers ,, unplug the motor and give the motor 12 volts directly,, if the motor works you need to check the window regulator
Before you replace anything, inspect the connector pins in both the driver's door switch and the passenger door switch. If you don't find any problem with these connector pins, replace the driver's door control switch.
