Check the manual for the exact loading procedure; the unit in the dash holds all 6. I think you have to press a button on the player until the display indicates "LOAD" and then put the CDs in one at a time. If you are putting in less than 6, you have to press the button again so the display no langer reads "LOAD". The manual will give you an exact explanation but the radio unit itself is what holds the CDs.
How many miles? Get the transmission serviced. Get the filter changed and get new fluid put in. Ford transmissions arent that great, but try getting the transmission serviced. I got a ford taurus that was said to have a bad trans. I changed the filter and put a new filter in. Voila, a 500 dollar car turned into a 3000 dollar car. : )
