I am having the same problem. I have put in a new pump and filter but am getting no power to pump. Where is the inline fuse that my Haynes repair manual talks about and is there another fuse or breaker I need to check, and where might they be located?

    Thanks

1985 buick somerset regal with 4 cyl. feul pump relay is mounted near back of passenger side strut tower top. if you are in front of vehicle it should be the right hand relay of the two.

Is firing order correct for direction of engine rotation?

Is it getting fuel? Will a quick shot of starting ether/starting fluid sprayed in air intake make it show any signs of "life"? If it does, check fuel pump circuit and fuel pump.

Mine starts fine when weather warms up,drove it yesterday, going to work on it this weekend.i took mine to the dealer and had it put on the computer and it showed i need a new fuel pump, already put new one...

Have your battery checked for cold cranking amps. Some old batteries will work fine when warm. But in cold weather they don't provide the necessary voltage. If the fuel pump is not getting the required voltage from the cold battery, it will deliver fuel with less than adequate fuel pressure, which would throw a trouble code and if the pressure was real low, the injectors may not fire.

Cranks but won't start fuel pump not coming on

put a small amount of fuel in the intake near the throttle plate then crank and see if it fires, if it does then it's a fuel problem, if it does not fire then pull a plug wire and put a philips head screw driver into the plug wire hold it 1/4 inch away from a good ground then have someone crank it over, you should see spark and it should be blue, if not then you have a ignition problem a bad coil or cam sensor but need to know what you found out on the two tests I told you first to give you a direction to go.
