Keeps saying door ajar and already skirted with wd 40

The door ajar sensing switch is incorporated into the door lock assembly inside the door. Which door is causing the problem will be the question. In most cases it will be the drivers door as it is used most frequently. I have had some success spraying WD-40 into the lock assembly of the door and opening/closing it several times. This has worked on some makes and models. Others have needed switch replacements. Try the WD-40 spraying liberally on all lock assemblies and hope for the best

The problem is a dirty switch. use a can of wd-40 or equivalent and spray the door latch heavily. Next hold up on the door handle and work the latching mechanism back and forth really fast. Next repeat the process 2 or 3 times. It only takes a few minutes and your door latch sensor will be working like new again.

If the interior lamps and the door ajar light stay on after removing the keys and closing the door, this is usually a sign that the door ajar switch is gummed up.

Liberal spraying of WD-40 in the latch and close open the door a few times. It can take up to 5 cycles of this to get the door ajar latch working correctly again.

There is a thread on F150online.com in the electrical forum ( sticky at the top ) that has pictures of where to spray the WD-40 if you are unsure on this.

this is caused by the door ajar switch sticking. easiest and cheapest way to fix this is to spray a generous amount of wd-40/enforcer/pb blaster or like spray chemical into all the door latches. this will free up the sticking switch. spray it into all your door latches since we dont know which switch is sticking and spray a lot of wd-40 onto them

It's integral to the door latch. Is it stuck on saying the door is ajar? Spray some wd-40 into the latch and open and shut it a few times and it will clear up.

If the door ajar indicator on the cluster is also on, might want to soak the door latch with WD-40.
The door ajar and interior lights are turned on when the door latch is open. Some times the switch gets stuck, and a good soaking of WD-40 will release it. The door latch and the switch for the door are the same unit.

Find out which door is showing ajar and replace the latch or door ajar switch.

spray the door latch with WD - 40 on both doors then open and close multiple times. Sometimes they get stuck ond this help if they free up once a month should keep it away

take the small black cover off from the pillar side of the switch and use the straw with the wd-40 can and lubricate the switch well.. old ford tech trick

wd 40 on the door latch. Had the same problem. I just spray both sides once every couple of months...no more issues.
