Check your Idle Control Valve (ICV) and your throttle cable. Occasionally, the throttle cable can have a linkage problem that can cause an odd idle. Also, ensure that all of your filters are clean and unblocked so as to ensure your car can "breath" well.

It sounds like it got hot idling to jump start the mazda rx7 and either warp or most likely cracked a head or heads and or a cracked block take off heads and have them inspected and fixed or replaced.

Coolant is still leaking

the water seal at the housing is bad. check the oil if it looks like vaseline the motor needs to be rebuilt.
