First I would make sure that the lug wires on the distributor are correct. Sometime when replacing the wires is is easy to get them crossed. Below is the firing order on both engines for the Cherokee. I have also had the module go bad before as well. Below is a diagram which calls this module a camshaft positon sensor. Hope this helps.
cyl - 1 3 4 2 clockwise 6 cyl - 1 5 3 6 2 4 clockwise
Your car will overheat very fast and you may either notice coolant leaking from the location of the pump and also possibly a squealing noise due to a bad bearing. Overheating can also be caused by a bad thermostat.
is recommended because if you have to change the water pump belt change
since you have to remove it and you save work in the future as we
recommend changing the camshaft seals and crankshaft as it saves time
In 2005 Subaru moved the fuel filters to the fuel tank for both 4-cyl and 6-cyl cars. What is confusing is the statement in the owner's manual about replacement intervals; the statement actually only applies to 4-cyl cars. Even though the filter is mounted in the tank, this is still a replaceable element on 4-cyl, but not on 6-cyl. The 6-cyl filter element is part of the entire fuel pump assembly (a $300 assembly) and is not sold separately. Therefore the 6-cyl filter is intended to be a "lifetime" part, which really means it gets replaced when the fuel pump fails and the entire pump assembly is replaced.
A 626 has two belts. One drives the power steering and water pump (rear belt in 6 cyl) and other front belt drives the a/c and alternator. On the 4 cyl, the front belt drives the power steering and the a/c, and the rear belt drives the water pump and the alternator. All of these are easy to change.
4 cyl under the ac compressor 6 cyl in the middle it driving by the timming belt you can not see it unless you remove the timing belt cover the 6 cyl 3.0 liter is and expensive job 4 to 6 hour labour plus part good luck pierre
