I need to know where the started is located on my 95 Eagle Summit ESI 1.8L motor and manual transmission

this is not your problem it is right beside the relay fuse box under the hood

now u redid timing-u sure its rite as the shop manual sez--get car scanned to see wats up--may need tuneup or hav fuel delivery issues

a bad coolanant temp censor will keep one from shifting into upper gears you need to run the codes on car an see what it says is wrong with it

Sounds like your Hydraulic Timing Belt Tensioner, or could be the Idle Pullys. There's a kit available that includes all needed parts for around $150.00 depending on your location.

THE BLOWN FUSE MAY BE HEATER, AND THERE MAY BE A PROBLEM WITH THE WIRING IN YOUR DRIVERS DOOR PANEL AS THIS CONTROLS WINDOWS , CHECK FOR LOOSE CONECTIONS AND MOTOR WIRING.

get a repair manual there must be a mark or reference point of some kind

I own a 95 talon esi aut trans. It's on the driver's side, in the front, next to (about a foot inside) of the wheel. just unbolt the about 10 bolts and keep it level binging it down, youll be able to get to the filter then too. You'd want to check a manual about the tpe and quantity of ATF ( like a Haynes, available @ auto parts stores for about $15, 20.) I just used Amsoil full synthetic, it's compatable with all AT systems.

I had the same problem. Facing the car it is at the left front way down low. It does not look like a traditional dipstick. It does not have a loop on the top. Instead they have a small white ball a little smaller than a gumball. It drove me crazy trying to find this. It almost looks like some type of grease fitting. Give it a pull and there it is.
