It isnt hard, just have to rekey the new cylinder...basically you can order new pins from gm, and then take out your old cylinder and remember what order they go in, they are numbered, so you put in the new switch and then do the relearn process for the security, good to go.

How do I get ignition to cut off from the ACC position? I have a 2004 Monte Carlo Earnhardt Edition.??????

You mean it will not return to the off position? Sounds like you need to replace the ignition switch and might want to try pushing in while turning back to off. Rapid jiggles might knock the pin loose, but be VERY careful not to break your key off in the switch. I also recommend NOT jiggling against the broad side of the key, where it is weakest. There is no good way to disassemble the switch and get it to release.

2005 Monte Carlo wont start after i changed the igition

If its the ignition switch that you changed you need to leave the key in the ignition switch in the on position for about fifteen minutes, it should start after that if not keep repeating until it does.

2004 monte carlo. Turn signals dont work. The stalk still works with other functions, such as wiper, brights. The fuse is fine. Could it be a bad relay? When u push the stalk up or down nothing happens on...

try pressing the hazards on and off if they still don,t work replace the flasher unit. it is built into the hazard switch( all one unit ) change this and all will be good.
