At 119,000 miles, I went to replace the coil housing and the plug boots when I noticed right away that there was quite a bit of oil between the valve covers. Upon removing the plug boot next to the timing chain, I noticed that there was alot of oil gathered around that plug. So I decieded to replace the gaskets, I soon found out that the valve cover must have at leas one bolt that seems to be attached horizontally from the timing housing because I can get the cover completely released from the driver side but not the pasenger side. I'm wanting to know wether or not there is in fact a bolt there, if not, then how do I replace the gasket to stop it from leaking?

There should be bolts around the cover and and a couple in the center of cover also unplug all air hoses going to cover u migght have to unplug the throttle cable, and replace the gasket and also the inner gasket that keeps the plugs from getting oil.

What is the best way to reach the rear spark plugs on a 2005 dodge stratus 2.7L 6 cylinder

Three of your spark plugs are located underneath the intake mainfold. The intake mainfold must be removed to allow access to the spark plugs. The mainfold must be reassembled using correct torque settings. Please refer to diagram. Below the diagram. Click on the picture to enlarge:

Need help locating the thermostat on a 1997 chevrolet malibu im trying to replace it but cant seem to figure out how to get to it

follow the upper hose to the metal pipe that is attached to the lower intake mainfold. The thermostat is behind that pipe. They are a PIA to replace. You need a 13mm socket, swivel, extensions, ratchet, and 13mm wrench. Sometimes it helps to remove the throttle body. Most of the time they are replaced along with the lower intake gaskets which fail quite often.

Idle is too fast

Use brake cleans around the intake. It will change the way that it runs when you find the vac leak at the intake mainfold gasket. The gasket is like $40 and not to hard too change
